The Juniors came away from Glasgow with a 1-1 draw in the Scottish Cup 4th round tie against East End Rovers. A Robert Berry goal towards the end of the game was probably the only highlight in a match which saw the Juniors struggle to impose themselves on the opposotion. After numerous goal scoring opportunities went astray the replay should provide the 19s the chance to improve on the performance.
Thanks to the large travelling support and again to Tam McLeod for his support and encouragement.
On a much more dismal note Captain Danny Hall suffered a very serious injury during the match in a freak accident. Danny underwent surgery on Tuesday and is hopefully on the road to recovery.
GET WELL SOON DANNY ALL THE CLUB COACHES PLAYERS AND OFFICIALS SEND THEIR GOOD WISHES.
The 19s welcome back Chris Mitchell to the squad. Chris was a member of the Colts squad who played for Hamish and Colin for a few seasons and after a break chasing women at the Cav Chris has rejoined his old teamates in signing for the Juniors.
Details have been confirmed for the Scottish Cup 4th Round tie against East End Rovers on Sunday 23rd Nov.

Scottish Cup 3rd Round
Tranent Juniors 1 - 0 Ayr Boswell
A well desrved win for the Juniors over a well organised Boswell team. Our Ayshire rivals fought hard to equalise after falling behind to a Dan Gillies first half strike however despite carving out a few chances towards the end they were unable to do so. The Juniors were well on top for much of the 2nd half with numerous chances being passed up including a clearance of the line and one hitting the post.
A big thanks to Tam McLeod for his support and experience and also to Stef and Blair for their efforts (A true Belters team effort)for which Hamish, Alan and all the team are extremely grateful.
Next round tie away to East End Rovers probably on Sunday 24th November details will be available ASAP.

A further seven goals in total were scored as the 19s added to their great run against Edinburgh United and North Merchiston. 3-0 extra time victory against Edinburgh saw Stevie , Ecky and Rip secure a hard fought victory. This was followed by a tremendous Scottish Cup 4-3 result away to North Merchiston at Drumbrae. Robert Berry (2) a penalty from Ecky and a fantastic strike from Rip saw the lads progress into the 3rd round.
Credit must be given to the whole squad for this fantastic run with every player playing their part in a great sequence of victories.
The 19s go into the September break on the back of a great unbeaten run since the first game of the season.
A fantastic 6-0 victory against Tynecastle BC with goals from Kenny , Eddie and Cammy who bagged 2 each was followed by a 2-3 extra time win against Inch Colts 90 in the Bob Bankier Cup.Stevie Glynn scored twice early in the match with Ecky Christie securing the victory in extra time.
Tranent Juniors 3-2 Musselburgh Windsor
The Juniors had to come from behind this evening after Musselburgh gained a 2 goal advantage early in the first half.
A fantastic strike on the stroke of half time from Robert Berry gave the Juniors a lifeline going into the second half. Alexander Christie gave the Windsor keeper no chance from a direct free kick delivered straight to the postage stamp to level the game.
Substitute Eddie White came on and gave the Juniors more options up front and maintained his composure to score the winner in this tense encounter.
Clearly the Juniors have turned a corner following their opening day defeat and are showing much more willingness and determination to play until the final whistle which is great credit to coaches Colgan and Reid for the fitness and tactics displayed by the team.
Hamish and Alan were delighted at the result this evening and made sure each member of the squad were clear about their contribution throughout the match and the positives the should take from a great performance.
Daz Veitch now has a well thought out celebration which is liable to cause injury to an older member of the Juniors backroom staff. There is some concern for this old guy as his frail body may not stand up to the amount of goals the guys are scoring.

Tranent Juniors 4-2 Seton BC
The juniors started the match slightly weakened due to injury and suspension to a couple of key players. This presented an opportunity for others to come in to the starting eleven and stake a claim for a regular starting place.
It was a very positive start to the game for Tranent with the emphasis on passing throughout the team from back to front which resulted in a four goal lead at half time.
The lads coped well with very blustery conditions and almost opened the lead when a Seton defender headed over his goalkeeper only to see the ball come back of the post. The deadlock was broken after 17 minutes when Robert Berry headed from outside the box for Cammy Reynolds to nip in ahead of the advancing keeper and touch the ball into the net.
Despite claiming the goal and not getting it Robert didnt have to wait to long to get his name on the scoresheet. After 23 minutes Kieran Inverarity,s determination to get the ball into the box paid off with a great cross for Berry who calmly slotted home number two.
At this point Tranent were well in control and retaining possesion of the ball for long periods however Seton almost stunned the large crowd when they surged upfield and tested keeper Brian Burnett who had to pull off a great double save to deny Seton their opener.
Captain Danny Hall produced his second goal in two games to give the juniors a 3 goal advantage (not bad for someone who hadnt scored for 3 years previously). Andrew Horne slotted home the fourth of the game following some great passing play which started back in the Tranent defence.
HALF TIME 4-0
Seton came out at the start of the 2nd half determined to make amends for their first half display and created a number of chances which had the Juniors on the back foot. The home side had a few opportunities to extend their lead early in the second half but failed to convert a number of good chances. Seton then put preasure on the Tranent defense with two goals in a 15 minute spell which also saw Burnett keeping the scorline down with a number of fine saves to deny the Seton attack.
This was a well contested match which left the Seton team with a mountain to climb after 45 minutes however credit should go to them for taking the game to Tranent in the 2nd half when a lot of teams may have given up at half time. The Tranent coaches were pleased with the effort and commitment from the whole team and look forward to the next game on Wednesday against Musselburgh Windsor.
Brian " The Cat " Burnett
A well earned win for the lads on Monday evening on a very wet pitch resulting in a 4-0 victory at Haddington. Goals from Ecky , Danny Hall , Robert Berry and Scott Luby finished of a good evenings work. The whole team contributed to this result and showed much more determination throughout the match than in the previous fixture. The only down side was the injury to Stevie Glynn early in the match.
