TRANENT DO IT THE HARD WAY

Tranent eventually took all three points against a stuffy Harthill side, the first goal coming from Steven Tait midway through the first half. Tranent continued to create chances but failed to convert and should have been out of sight at the break. Just after the break Harthill equalised when a speclative shot from a Harthill forward took a vicious deflection over Tranents goal keeper Sinclair Inglis head and landed in the back of the net. 45seconds later Tranent regained the lead when Martin Cameron was on hand to finish off a Mel Grahams cross to take the points and move 10 points clear at the top of the division from Blackburn Utd who have 5 games in hand. Manager Brian Johnston was happy to take the points and keep the pressure on the chasing pack.
